Greeting to all reading my words,
This week was great. I have a good comp and I am pretty much in charge so we are getting a lot done. The work here in the office is going well. My first transfer I got all my work done in about 4 weeks. This transfer I have done almost all of my work in 2 WEEKS. Its ridiculous. So this transfer is going to be a little slow, due to the fact that I am going to have to look for things to do here in the office.. haha the other day I did something wrong to my computer so now I have to take off EVERYTHING then reinstall the entire operating system, should be a BLAST.
Here on the mission pretty much everything bad that happens is a result of miscommunication. Its incredible. For example this past week, we had a play fight with the assistants. It was the Americans versus the brasileiros. So then after they thought we were talking bad about them and they got so mad they didn’t talk to us the rest of the day. In fact we didn’t say ANYTHING, they just misinterpreted the situation. So because of that, our work went terribly that day. There have been so many situations where someone heard something differently, didn’t even hear what the other person said, so on and so forth. I have learned the importance of clear communication, especially by the spirit. Just us missionaries talking and “convincing” the people isn’t enough. They need to receive that special witness that doesn’t come from the missionaries. Just as the Lord says, those who have not the Spirit cannot teach. But as easy as that sounds, its one of the hardest things. You have to be %100 percent obedient, and then listen for the promptings of the spirit. Its like a radio. You have to be tuned to the right frequency to get a clear transmission.
\Well this next week I will be celebrating (should I be celebrating this? Seems like I should be lamenting) my one year anniversary here on the mission. Wow has it flown by. After I graduated high school, my life has become a blur. Those who are in and around this age, make sure to take advantage of your time, but DON’T be stupid. Make good choices. What you decide in these few years, will change your life FOREVER. I am starting to get those feelings of “crap, I should have done this”, or “dang, why didn’t I do that’? when it comes to my mission. Luckily I still have ONE WHOLE YEAR (sorry mom, it will go by fast I promise
to do the Lords work. Now is when I kick it into high gear. Those of you who are familiar with cars, (Ryan, Jordan, etc.) lets flick our NOS switches!!! Haha lame I know but seriously, this year goes faster so we need to work harder to make sure we have given our all and done our best. There will ALWAYS be room to improve. And the better and harder we work now, the less guilty we will feel after the mish. Have a good week everyone, don’t forget to read your scriptures, say your prayers, and SHARE THE GOSPEL!! I love you all.
