Hello everyone.

Well this week has been a blur just like the past couple weeks. Donjuhl finally came which is sweet. I think we are the only people in the whole mtc who have someone from our ward with us, not to mention FOUR! so cool. My brazillian roommates left this morning, sad to see them go they were really cool. Hopefully we get some more :)

Today we went to the São Paulo temple and that is by far the best temple I have been too (besides san diego :) there is so much mahogany and tons of SWEET paintings and mosaics and stained glass. Im sad cuz next week they are cleaning it so we only get to go like two times.

I have got TONS of letters, mostly from mom and dad. KEep them coming!! I love getting them.

This week we had a thing called t.r.c. its where members come and you teach them your lesson in portuguese. For some reason they decided to ask me questions I had no idea how to answer in Portuguese.. jerks. HAHA anyways I am glad its over and I am looking forward to going proselyting again this week. Talk to you later! Até logo.

well the weeks just keep flying by.. this past week was awesome. I really tried to take advantage of my down time and study the scriptures and preach my gospel. So awesome! Me and my distrcit have been getting into some deeep doctrine.. its soo cool! We have a huge signs of the second coming card its INSANEE. read ezekiel 1, holy cow! I am having nightmares of those things.. haha. speaking of waking up at night, yesterday was the first night I did NOT wake up sometime during the night. There is always fireworks going off, loud people outside, gunshots (haha the other night there was 16 gunshots!! sheesh) AND there is this 1 bird.. everytime I (for some reason I was the only one to wake up and hear it everynight) would wake up it would fly away! I tried to leave out my camera so I could record the noise it makes, but it ALWAYS flys away. Everyone thought I was crazy so one night I woke EVERYONE up and made them listen. Now they know about the crazy bird. I will try to record its call because its sooo wierd! I cant even explain it. We went to campinas temple today and tomorrow we are going to the police station to register and get a brazillian id.
Nothing much has changed.. its hard to write in my journal every night because every day is almost the same! My teacher irmão gonçalves is so cool. he is the most spiritual/wise 22 year old I know. Every day he leaves us with a crazy thing to think about. YEsterday he pretended to be an investigator and said luke 16:16 says there cannot be any prophets after john. We figured out the law was the law of moses and the prophets is all the books in the bible from isaiah to the end. It was sweet haha. OH! i almost forgot. We went proselyting on friday it was SO cool! at first I was pretty scared but then I just went for it. I started talking to everyone, and developed a liking for old guys. I just liked talking to them! haha I handed out everything they give youy (3 books of mormon and 17 passalong cards) plus at the end I took a huge stack from my teachers pocket and gave all those away. I didnt have any really good stories but my companion did. He gave this one guy a book of mormon and the guy was so excited! people are amazed when you give them  a free book its hilarious. They all think you are trying to sell them something till you say  “de graça”! so we saw this guy walk past us again an hour later and he was really reading it! it was so awesome. I am doing really well with portuguese and was able to pick up most of what they were saying. Well time to go buy some food. They have really good cookies in these rolled up packagaes.. sooo good.
have a good week! send me letters and candy! thanks for all the letters mom and dad. I love you all.

well its P-day #3 already.. so crazy. We went to the campinas temple again, and we aren´t allowed to bring cameras outside of the mtc so we had our teacher take a picture of our district with his cellphone :) I have been doing really good. Time has been flying by and there is so much more to do every day. We have been teaching lessons in english and now we are moving on to street contacts and medium lesson one is PORTUGUESE. so crazy.. I have no probelm though.. I already have my street contact down and my lesson all written out.. I am amazed at how easy this is for me.. A few of my good friends left early this morning, but the cool thing is, they are going to Curitiba! so I will see them in six weeks. It has been stormy and rainy all week, just yesterday it cleared up. One day it was almost like a tornado was ripping through.. I took a movie, Dad when I send the full memory card to you you can put it up haha.

As for my district, there are 8 guys. 3 are from southern Cali 3 are from utah, 1 is from seattle and 1 is from chicago. We all get along really well and we have developed a good system to get our work done together. The only problem is I always finsih way before everyone so I get bored easily haha. Brazil is awesome. I am getting used to it, and I cant WAIT to go to Curitiba. I hear it is the nicer part of Brazil and that it is cleaner. So that will be sweet.

Not much else is going on, it´s the same routine every day. We have 3 4 hour classes throughout the day and two are led by teachers and one we direct ourselves. Our teachers are both realllly cool. A lot of the other teachers are not so cool, so we got lucky :) My favorite teacher is Irmão Gonçalves. He served a mission in Colorado Springs. He is a really cool guy and is an awesome teacher.

This week Friday they are going to take us to downtown Sao Paulo and we get to proselyte! I am excited but the other guys are FREAKING out.. its funny how in three weeks they expect you to be able to talk to brazillians.. Speaking of brazillians, we got our first two brazillian roommates! Elder Da Silva and Elder Perrupato. (In portugués the rr and r at the beginning of the word is an h sound.. SO annoying) they are both pretty cool but really quiet. Its funny cuz they talk to us like we can understand them, but we have no idea what the heck they are talking about. so we sit down with our minidiccionarios and figure out what eachother is saying.

I uploaded my pictures to flickr, here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29489945@N04/

I am off to go wander the streets with my companion talk to you all in a week!

well hello hello everyone! tudo bem?

This week went by so fast. We went to the temple again today which was sweet, I was soooo  hungry though. This week went by relly well, I am still learning a lot. I have realized I have been blessed with a wonderful gift of memorizing. I always get everything relly fast and everyone else takes forever so I USUALLY use my spare time to read scriptures and preach my gospel. ITs awesome I love it. There is another Elder is my district elder moss. He is HILARIOUS and we get along so well. We are always joking around and quoting movies. MY companion is really cool, but he is kind of shy. He is starting to open up though. He has a REALLLLY cute younger sister that i guess he gets a lot of crap about so I am trying to figure out how he will let me write her :) hahaha anyways the food is great. Its kind of cafeteria style with a brazillian twist. All the soda is so good ESPECIALLY guaraná. It is sooo good. Plus they have fresh cut pineapple and watermelon which I always get. I also take a banana and apple every meal so I know I am getting my fruit servings in!

I have received two letters from dad onr from besty and no páckagaes. Mom said she sent one but I haven´t got anything. Send me more letters! I love getting them :) Mom can you tell me when betsy wants me to send her an email for the newsletter?

A regualar day consists of waking up at 630 bfast at 7 personal study at 730 comp study at 800 then a four hour class till 1145 then lunch for an hour then another class till 415 then diner for an hour. After dinner we have mdst which means we are still in our same classroom but no teacher. We plan what we are going to study but its hard sometimes to stay focused. Then we have gym for an hour which is usually crazy district basketball games. It gets old but you get used to it.

I think i may have sent some of my personal emails to everyone accidentally but whatever.. I miss home! haha but not so much.. I just miss hanging out in my house wiht a full pantry and slurpees and in n out the beach and my car.. I cañ´t wait to go out to Curitiba. I know it will come fast so I am looking forward to that. I cant really think of anytthing else right now, me and my comp are going to go get some food then stop by the grocery store (on pday we get to walk around :)

até logo!
